Approval is requested for the lease by private treaty of 1,800 sq. ft. of Crown Land at Anhui Street, Kowloon, to the China Light and Power Co., Ltd. This Company wishes to build a sub-station on this lot which is the only suitable land for this purpose. Subject to your approval of a grant by private treaty, I propose to charge a premium of $16,200.00 and Crown Rent of $66.00 per annum with restrictive covenant against assignment and for use of the site for purposes of an electrical transforming and switching sub-station only. Building Covenant will be $30,000.00 in one year and term will be for 75 years and with the option of renewal for one further term of 75 years. Executive Council has agreed.
